Spring Organ Academy in Granada

Repertoire
Free choice of works, according to the specification of the instruments:

• Historical Spanish organs (45 keys, short octave, divided stops): it is specially recommended Iberian and Flemish music from 16th to 18th centuries (Spanish and Portuguese composers, composers from the Southern Netherlands (the Low Countries) such as Cornet, Kerckhoven, Liber Fratrum Cruciferorum Leodiensium,...). Manualiter music from others composers or schools is also possible (Sweelinck, Italian music,...)
• Salvador church: baroque repertoire with pedal (early German school, Buxtehude, Bach, also possible to play French baroque music).
• Perpetuo Socorro church: symphonic style organ (25, II/P) nice for romantic literature of the 19th century and early 20th century (notice the pedal range up to d’).
• Improvisation could be worked with Monica Melcova.

Fees
Active students: 90€ (or 60€ per one day); Listeners: 45€ (or 30€ per one day).
Accommodation and meals are not included.

• Visit to the Cathedral organ (Fernández Dávila, 1744-46) under restoration. Visit to the Royal Chapel choir organ (Cavaillé-Coll, 1888).

• Friday 5th:
  9:00 - 11:30 Masterclass in Santos Justo y Pastor church;
  12:00 Visit to the Cathedral organ.
  16:00 - 18:30 Masterclass in Monastery of San Jerónimo.
• Saturday 6th:
  9:00 - 11:00 Masterclass in Convent of Zafra;
  11:30 - 13:30 Masterclass in Salvador church.
  16:00 - 17:30 Visit to Perpetuo Socorro organ;
  18:00 - 19:30 Visit to the Royal Chapel.
• Sunday 7th:
  Morning: optional visit to the Alhambra (Ticket price is 19€, to book here.)
  Afternoon / evening: rehearsal and participants concert (9 pm) at Santos Justo y Pastor church.
