Jose Luis González Uriol, born in Zaragoza (Spain), Professor of Organ and Harpsichord at the High School of Music from Zaragoza and performer of undisputed prestige, has a world-wide reputatíon as a specíalist in Early Keyboard Musíc.He pursued his musical studies under Prof. Montserrat Torrent (Barcelona), Macarío Santiago Kastner (Lisboa), and Gustav Leonhardt (Amsterdam) His career as a concert performer has led him to take part in the most ímportant Internatíonal Festívals and Musical Centres in the five continents.
As a speciahst in Early Iberian Music he has made numerous recordíngs.
He is titular organist of the Royal Chapel of Santa Isabel de Portugal and of the Hístorical "Jose de Sesma" Organ in the Renaissance Court, Patio de la Infanta, cofounder of the Department of Early Music in the Intitución "Fernando el Católico"(Zaragoza), director of the internacional Early Music Course and Festival at Daroca from 1979 as well as Counsellor Elect in the Consultant Council of the afore-mentioned Institution.
He has been awarded the Cross of Alfonso X el Sabio and of the Gold Medal of the Cortes de Aragón (the Aragonese Parlament) for his servíce to Music in that communíty.
