The third Silbermann organ of Freiberg, finished in 1719, was to be found originally in the Johanneskirche (St John's Church). The one-manual instrument had 14 stops, 3 of them in pedal.
Due to the fact that this church increasingly decayed the instrument was setup on the left-hand side of the cholr screen of Freiberg Cathedral in 1939 and at the same time got a modern pitch (Eule, Bautzen). It was restored in 1997 by Jehmlich of Dresden (without restoring the original pitch).
